Pre-2013 Introduced Daylilies
Here are some of our classic introductions from the past ten years. Any of these flowers would be a great addition to a hybridizing program or your home garden.

Delta Forever

Delta Forever is named for our beloved Delta Dawg who loved to hunt moles in our garden, and who is no longer with us. It is a tetraploid. It has a dark cream flower with purple eye and a purple and gold edge. It is cross between Sherry Lane Carr and Panda Bear. The blossoms are 4 1/2 to 5 inches. It is both pod and pollen fertile, and blooms mid-season. We like this color combination.

This diploid is a large (6 1/2 inch) cream flower with rounded petals, ruffles, and gold throat. It blooms early in the season and stands 30 to 32 inches tall. We were surprised to get this color since we were expecting a pink. It has great plant characteristics, meaning it blooms consistently and increases every year. (Don't worry...the hybridizer's wife and son will be helping him name his plants from now on.)
Heliosphere

Heliosphere is a tetraploid daylily with 6 1/2 inch blooms. It begins blooming in early to mid season, and is from our pool of reblooming hybrids, and blooms as a polytepal 75% of the time. It is a brilliant orange with red eye above an olive throat, and is a hybrid of Bill Norris and Panda Bear. It is both pod and pollen fertile.
Jerry's Cherry Surprise

This tetraploid flower is light pink with a raspberry eye. Its red ruffle begins at the middle of the petal, goes halfway up, stops and goes to a gold ruffle around the end of the petal, and halfway down turns to red again. The blossom is 5 1/2 inches, and the plant stands 30 inches tall. It blooms mid-season.

This seedling from Pirate's Patch is a tetraploid that is both pod and pollen fertile. It is key lime yellow with a purple eye and purple edge. Thef lower is 5 1/2 to 6 inches and blooms early in the season. It is a cross of regal Braid and Pirate's Patch. It stands 28 to 30 inches tall.

This tetraploid flower is a cross between Paper Butterfly and Killer Queen. It has pink petals with a purple eye and gold throat. It blooms early in the season and stands 28 to 30 inches tall. This beautiful flower has some reblooming characteristics, and has been a delight in our garden.

Miss Kayden Elaine is a cross between Darla Anita and Gardenia Mist (another of our hybrids). This tetraploid is named after one of the hybridizer's identical twin granddaughters. It has large 6 inch flowers that are light cream with pink undertones and nice gold ruffled edge. It is both pod and pollen fertile and start blooming early and continues to bloom over the entire bloom season. It is very fertile.

Miss Kinsey Anne is named after the other identical twin granddaughter. It is a tetraploid with 5 to 5 1/2 inch flowers. It is very round, ruffled, bright yellow with a gold ruffled edge, and is a cross between Isle of Capri and Darla Anita. It is both pod and pollen fertile and blooms over the entire bloom season after starting its bloom early. It is very fertile.

Miss Maddie was named after an inspiring lady who went through physical therapy with the hybridizer's wife following a stroke. It is a cross between Dakar and Ida's Magic. It is a tetraploid that is dark purple with a gold ruffled edge. It is fertile both ways, blooms mid-season, and stands 26 inches tall.
Pat's Paradise

Pat's Paradise is another tetraploid, a Patricia Corbett cross. Its double color edge is purple and gold. It is a lavender flower with darker purple eye and gold throat. It blooms early to mid-season and is fertile both ways. Several of its siblings are being evaluated for introduction.

Romance Returns is a tetraploid daylily that blooms in early to mid season. It has a large, 6 1/2 inch light pink flower with a darker pink eye and ruffled edge above a gold to green throat. It has beautiful diamond dusting. It is both pod and pollen fertile, and is a cross of Cherries and Cream times Mal.

One of the few diploids in the collection, Rosemond Worley is a 5 1/2 to 6 inch flower, pale pink, with cream mid rib stripe and beautiful rose veining. It booms in mid-season. It is a cross of Tani and Sue Rothbauer and is fertile both ways, and is named for a beloved teacher.
